Going for a fortified village of Corbières

One of the most beautiful villages in France and as such is far from being usurped. At 40 kilometers from the medieval city of Carcassonne, Lagrasse makes you enter the ground floor in the beautiful region known as the Corbières for its wine than for its scenery.

Arrived in Lagrasse, park at the visitor parking outside the boulevard. Return to the first bridge crossed before arriving from afar to enjoy the steeple of the abbey and the old stone bridge. Ideal for monitoring and ensuring a good shot.
As the access route forms a loop, you can either start with the abbey or the medieval village.
You may notice some remains of walls and fortified towers. Signs of explanation can learn more about this former economic powerhouse of the time of the Middle Ages.
