The country Couserans consists of a set of converging valleys, open on the watershed of prayer where agriculture dominates the way in Piedmont (Volvestre, Seron, Bas-Salat) and the upper forest.
Saint Girons is now the capital of Couserans. However, history can not be separated from that of the neighboring city, San Lizier, which is part of the "most beautiful villages of France".
Saint-Lizier step on the road to Saint Jacques de Compostela, is the city of the department of history. It has a rich heritage.
